Live 1920s and ’30s jazz and swing! The night will begin each week with a dance class. Our four part classes range from Ballroom to Lindy Hop, check the gigs page to which style we are currently teaching.

At Limehouse de Reverie Ewan Bleach performs with residents The Cable Street Rag Band. As the name suggests, they are a band that formed at the Cable Street studios in Limehouse who play Rags. But that is not all. This is a old-style jazz band that also plays blues, song-book foxtrots and swing numbers along with other dance music from around the world, including waltzes, beguines, tangos and the odd polkas, All of their repertoire dates from the 1850s-1940s. In 2018 the band released the brilliant ‘Dust’ LP.

The band features: Ewan Bleach on saxophones, clarinets and vocals/ Lewis Taylor on trumpet and vocals / John Kelly on guitar / Joplin Parnell on piano and vocals / Joe Dessauer on drums

Join Ewan Bleach for Sunday lunch in the company of his big band, The Fleeting Paradise Orchestra!

The ensemble plays arrangements of popular songs and original blues and jazz numbers from the 10-piece ‘territory’ bands of late 20s and early 30s America, such as Benny Moten, Charlie Johnson, Fess Williams and Duke Ellington. They also play material from dance bands from Canada and the UK, such as Guy Lombardo and Bert Ambrose, and some original compositions and arrangements by Ewan himself.
