Autumn has been upon us officially (at least in the UK) since the 1st of September however here in London the leaves are only just beginning change colour. It’s my favourite season, not least, because it was birthday this Monday and very soon, in a matter of days, (or weeks, or months -if i can figure out when I took my first lesson) I will have been playing the clarinet for 30 years. This is big milestone. Right now I am focusing on composing at the piano, transcribing and arranging for my orchestra, I am continuing to get deeply obsessed with Turkish classical music, and continuing to explore the wonders of the various saxophones and clarinets I have my collection

The Fleeting Paradise Orchestra at Jamboree

12-2.15pm Sunday 1st of October, the 22nd of October, 5th and 19th of November and the 3rd and 17th of December, London

My orchestra is going from strength to strength and we are continuing our fortnightly residency at Jamboree, it’s usually the 1st and 3rd Sundays, however this month its the 1st and 4th Sundays. After that it shall resume regularity. The music kicks off at 12:20pm on the dot so don’t be late.

Rag Band Thursdays: Beginner lindy hop course with Serena  Rizzo and Marcus Nutzinger

7:15pm Thursdays 12th October -9th November

I am excited to announce that we now have a beginner swing dance classes coming to The Cable Street Rag Band at Jamboree, and what’s more, it’s taught by the amazing and experienced Serena Rizzo and Marcus Nutzinger. I shall be providing live accompaniment on the piano. The four part course runs from 19th of October- 9th of November.

Jazz at St Giles

11th of November, Oxford

I am thrilled to be performing in my home town of Oxford. It’s gonna be a very special concert, in fact, part concert; part lecture. I have been invited to give a presentation on my two favourite saxophonists, Lester Young and Sidney Bechet and explain and demonstrate specifically about what technics they used to make there instruments talk and I how I use these techniques to make my sound.

Fleeting Paradise Orchestra at the Winning Post
